Aggregator Merchant Integration Guide

Introduction

Welcome to the Payloft Payment Gateway Integration Guide for aggregator merchants. This document provides a comprehensive overview for integrating with the Payloft Payment Gateway to receive and process card payments through multiple supported schemes.

Supported card schemes include:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express (Amex)

  • Verve

  • PayAttitude

What is an Aggregator Merchant?

An aggregator merchant, also known as a payment facilitator, is responsible for onboarding and managing sub-merchants under their platform. Aggregator merchants provide their own user interface (UI) to collect customer payment information, encrypt sensitive card data, and interact directly with the Payloft Payment Gateway for transaction processing.

High-Level Process Flow

  1. User Interface (UI) Ownership:
The aggregator owns and controls the payment interface used to capture cardholder data.

  2. Card Data Encryption:
All card data must be encrypted securely on the client side before being transmitted to Payloft’s servers to ensure PCI DSS compliance.

  3. Transaction Processing:
The encrypted payment data is sent to Payloft, where authentication and authorization are handled securely.

  4. Response Handling:
Payloft returns the transaction response to the aggregator, who is responsible for interpreting and managing the result within their system.

Objectives

By following this guide, aggregator merchants will be able to:

  • Integrate multiple card schemes into their payment systems via Payloft.

  • Ensure secure encryption and transmission of payment data.

  • Utilize Payloft's APIs for authentication and authorization.

  • Handle and interpret transaction responses effectively.
